Editorial Review for Coors Amphitheatre – by Dave Flomberg
In Short
One of Colorado's main outdoor venues, Coors Amphitheatre is a mainstay on the summer tour circuit for any House of Blues-produced show, and beyond. With reserved seating for over 6,000, and a lawn that seats another 10,000, this venue has traditionally played host to some of the largest festivals in the country, including Lollapalooza and Aerosmith/KISS.

i was at a stevie wonder show and left my coat inside. i realized just after walking out the exit. to make a long and annoying story short they had no clue as to what to do except there was no way that i was getting back in to get it. i was directed to the other side of the venue, quite a walk, where they told me to go back to the original side. when i informed them that i had just been there they were annoyed a said there was nothing they could do. i asked if he would use his walkie talkie to find where i could go to straighten this out and he refused. they told me that my only option was to call lost and found the next day, i did and it wasn't there. thanks for having me walk around for an hour to treat me like an annoyance after paying good money for a ticket and buying eight dollar beers.

Was in isle at yesterdays Linkin Park venue and got asked to move to my seat. As I went to find my row and seat I looked down towards the main Isle and security was watching me like a hawk. There were 50 other people in the Isle but security went on to wave me towards them after I had found my row. I complied to see what they wanted and they said that they wanted me to come with them or they would make me come with them. I was caught off guard as to what was happening as I followed security to a side entrance where there was a group of security holding clip boards all sitting down doing nothing. There was one peace officer in this whole group. The security guard went as far as saying that he asked me to go to my seat four times. As I was finding out that I was getting kicked out I pleaded that I had not been anything but compliant as well as respectful. But to no attest I was not allowed to go back to my seat and was thrown out of the venue. There are a number of things that happened that worry me about treatment of observers at this venue but the main two are as follows. First, if there is no belligerence from the observer and the observer is compliant with demands how does that constitute ejections from such a venue? Second, how the hell did I get back into the concert after I was thrown out when the security policy for anyone leaving on their own terms is no re-entry? The answer to the first question is really easy to anwser since there was no justification to the security measures taken. The security obviously had some type of inferiority complex with not being able to control the other 50 people that were in the isle. I incidentally got singled out because of my stature, non-confrontational approach, compliancy, and was made an example. The second one is not so easy to answer. Even if I was trespassing what security measures are in place to make sure a combatant psycho path doesn't come back into a venue and hurt people?
Cons: Service, Security, Isle Lighting
