Best in south colorado – We have been taking our animals here for over 16 years. we have never have problems Dr. graf and the staff are always welcoming. I will always bring my animals there, i love it so much i would like to do my externship there for my vet assistant and vet tech programs. i would recomend them to anyone that asks!!
Praise for Fountain Creek Veterinary Clinic! – We have been seeing Dr. Graf since we moved here over six years ago. He cared for our rottie, Samson, until he had to go to "doggie Heaven" (his words). The receptionists didn't even send us a bill because they know how grief-stricken animal lovers are, and we would come and pay when were ready.
We were ready several months later after we got a corgi, Delilah. Her rambunctious attitude is just what we needed. Unfortunately, Delilah got extremely sick, and we had to rush her to Dr. Graf's office before Labor Day weekend. They were off that weekend, but Dr. Graf insisted that we leave her for more bloodwork, other tests, and so they could monitor her progress. He also told us that he was worried that Delilah would become worse, and we would have to pay more money at an emergency clinic. She became worse; however, the office called every day (their weekend off) to let us know what was going on with Delilah.
Monday came, and Dr. Graf recommended that we take her to the specialty clinic in Colroado Springs where she could uindergo more extensive tests and procedures. We always appreciate Dr. Graf's "tell it like it is" appraoch and his frank assessment of the situation.
Delilah did get better after spending three days with Dr. Graf and five days up north. We jus visited Dr. Graf's office for some follow-up bloodwork. As usual, the staff came out to greet Delilah. They commented on how much better she looked.
I strongly recommend Dr. Graf to care for your animal. He remembers his patients and their owners, and his jovial attitude is the best. Of course, his sensitive side comes out during a delicate situation. He never rushes through an appointment but takes his time.
Dr. Graf's saff is unbeatable as well! They greet everyone with a smile and a laugh and console sad situations with tissue. This office works long hours and stays way past their operational hours and do so with a cheery disposition.
The best of vet medicine in southern colorado – The day my heart held its breathe, was the summer evening of August 8, 2010. I was on a casual walk in my neighborhood with my little girl and my other baby "Jenny" our long haired red chihuahua. We were stopped in the street, heading back home when out of a house came a pit bull of 3 times her size and attacked her without provocation. I was unable to act for fear of being turned on myself, I could only watch as the animal made a rag doll out of my "Jenny". She was finally let go by the dog after she fell limp. I could only imagine the damage that was inflicted on our baby girl at that moment. I rushed her to the vet hospital that night and then into what turned into the most loving arms of the physician, wife and staff of this caring facility. I spoke to Dr. (Patty) as I refer to her and she caringly advised me of my baby's extreme condition. All who have held her through her care and surgery at the clinic were of the utmost and courageous personalities. I am honored to have met and cared for our "Jenny" with each one of them. I have never experienced such personal and warm attitudes over this horrible situation. I take Jenny by just to visit now and again and she is always greeted by smiles and loving hugs. She is completely the old version of herself and healing fantastically. I know that if it were not for their love and careful handling of her she would not be with us today. Thank you so greatfully to the staff, to Dr. Graf ,and to (DR) Patty for loving Jenny like we love her and bringing our little girl back home to us. She is a very valued part of our lives. I want everyone to know what a experienced- caring staff that takes care of our little ones when we can't. Our Jenny is safe, happy and healthy at home now because these people cared enough to step outside of the box and just love an injured (almost dead) little dog. We don't get to see many kind and above humanistic gifts today but if you choose to visit this facility, you will just get a glimpse, that there are truly angels among us.
Fantastic Medicine, Caring Staff!! – If I ever move, I would drive hours to see Dr. Graf at Fountain Creek Veterinary Clinic.
I have had pets since I was a little girl and have never been to a veterinarian who knew more about medicine! He is so easy to talk to and his staff has ALWAYS bent over backwards to fit my schedule and get me in the same day!
My Doberman (sadly) loves to eat socks. For the first time in three years she wouldn't eat and wouldn't drink. Dr. Graf took one look at her and said "What did she eat?" He ordered Xrays to be taken and sure enough, she had eaten a sock.
She needed surgery and the staff never complained when I wanted to sit with her by her kennel! I sat there for an hour every day that she was there and the staff took the time to answer any question and I never felt unwelcome! I love this place. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Graf and his staff to anyone with animals.
Unique Clinic, Incredible Staff, Unsurpassed Medical Care – I too take all my pets to Dr. Graf, and have for years. I am always impressed with the level of care my pets recieve! The fact that it is a small clinic initially drew me knowing that larger clinics are often run more like a "business" rather than an animal treatment facility. I am thoroughly pleased with every interaction I have had there...it is so nice to walk in the door and be greated with our names and have everyone recognize us! Another perk of going to a small clinic.
Dr. Graf and his staff always inquire about the rest of my family, not just the pets! He has taken numerous opportunities to explain things to my 6 year old son and allows my "needle-shy" husband to leave the room for vaccines!
I have called countless times with questions and Dr. Graf always has a spare minute to talk with me.
In response to "davidb12"'s review....Please keep the personal vendettas off here. I know for a fact how much Dr. Graf, Patty and their children do for others in the community; your absolutely malicious (and therefore unreliable) review of this clinic is completely unwarranted and sInce you have never had a pet treated at the clinic, you have no business posting anything on here.
Your false accusations of such an amazing collection of people says more about your character than theirs.
In short, you won't regret taking your pets here. They have been in Fountain for the better part of two decades and will be there for the next two I'm sure!
Fantastic Vet Clinic! – It is ashame that some people are so childish!
To Dr. Graf, Family, employees of the Clinic and all that read this:
This Clinic was recommended to me, the person told me "if you want a real vet that will tell you the truth about your pet and care for your pet as they truly need it see Dr. Graf". So when I became the proud parent of 2 German Shepards that were only 4 weeks when I got them I trusted Dr. Graf to help me take care of these babies. He was AWESOME! The clinc was clean, the staff was remarkable and so friendly! I used Banfield for my other dogs and really likes them, but I got personal care from Dr. Grafs office, not "just another patient" kind of care. Plus when they thought that my dog may have ran away they called me to make sure they were home safe and sound!!! How many other vets remember what your dog looks like or even looks it up to see if they have any one file like that???
AWESOME place, AWESOME people! Thank you Dr. Graf and Family for all you do!
Dr Graf and Staff at Fountain Creek Vet Clinic – I just want to let everyone know that I have been taking 3 cats & 2 dogs to Dr Graf for many years and Dr Graf and his staff are always professional, courteous and compassionate. I have never seen their clinic anything but exceptionally clean. I went to several other vets in the colorado springs area before finding Dr Graf. I have a 21 yr old cat who wouldn't be doing as well as she is if not for Dr Graf and his excellent staff. I had a friend who's sister was out of state who had her nephew watching her dog that got attacked by a coyote and Dr Graf handled the case and was able to save her dog and didn't charge outrageous fees to do so. I can't say enough good about Dr Graf and his clinic and I feel that the person who is being so negative about him and his clinic has a grudge against his family. There is more to this case then is being stated by the accuser.
I normally never write reviews, but after reading the negative review posted below, I felt I had to set the record straight. We have two cats, Poe and Isis, a brother and sister that we adopted when they were 4 days old. Their mother had abandoned them and somehow my wife and I ended up becoming surrogate parents -- feeding them from an eye dropper, waking up every 3 hours, etc. Today, they are both full grown, happy cats, and the closest thing my wife and I have gotten to having kids of our own. When I was stationed at Fort Carson, we needed to a new vet and found Dr. Graf/Fountain Creek Veterinary Clinic online. Our first visit, we were totally blown away by Dr. Graf’s professionalism, the clinic’s cleanliness, and the great staff. Prices were more than fair (including a military discount), and the care our cat’s received was second to none. We’ve had all their shots taken care of through this clinic, called about a possible emergency after one cat ingested some toxic tea tree oil (and was given good, straight forward advice on what to do and watch for), and had both cats receive some dental work/cleaning. The latter visit resulted in an overnight stay. We picked them up happy and healthy the next day. We missed our cats overnight, but NEVER did we fret for their safety nor have any concern that they were being treated poorly. I DO NOT, for one minute, believe the ranting of the earlier negative reviewer were anything more than the unpleasant side of a drug abuser and an ugly divorce. While in the military, I worked in the JAG Corps (the legal portion of the Army), and saw many clients with drug issues that fit the pattern described by the individual with the negative review. How sad that someone so unstable would stoop so low to blatantly lie about such an outstanding clinic. I can promise that after the arduous process of raising two 4-day old kittens, we would NEVER take our precious “kids” anywhere but the best -- and the best IS Fountain Creek Veterinary Clinic!
Sucky Clinic – Worst clinic i ever seen, i personaly witnessed the staff taking the animals there out back and beating them when they were constantly whinning and being loud, they also give the animals large amounts of sedatives to make them pass out, there cleanliness is outragous, just plain nasty in the or, they mistreat the animals and i was just shocked at the performance of the staff, i reccomend that you do not bring your animal there if you do, check your animal after for bruises and welts,
Compassion is not lost here – Dr Graf is a wonderful and compassionate Vet. I had to make the hardest decision on my best friend, a 13 yr old Lab. Dr Graf was right there with me and allowed me to use a phone. This was the first time I had seen Dr Graf and his staff. Lets just say I was not the only one who shed a tear in that room. Compassion is not something that you see everyday in Vets, as we have moved around for 20 yrs, and I have seen many vet styles. The staff and Dr treated me as if I was a long time client and not just another face with a pet. I was not going to write a review because I felt what was already said did it justice. However, my cat came in contact with a engine fan @ 0515 in the morning and although it had to go to an emergency care facility because of the hours, I did do a follow up with Dr Graf and his office. Dr Graf looked at each wound and removed the sutures with a VERY reasonable price tag!!! I usually go to the Vet on post for my pets vaccinations but I will now go to Fountain Creek Animal Clinic for all my pet care needs and concerns!!!! If you choose any other Vet, you are not getting the best possible care for your pet. As a pet parent, I want the best care for my pets. It was not just one positive experience, it is every time I walk in there.
