Gluten free made delightful!
by Deb McNeill at Citysearch
We were celebrating my birthday at a lunch with 2 of us requiring gluten free courses. The gluten eaters were given delicious lemon bread as they were seated. The gluten free diners coveted it, assuming that we would wait hungry for our main course, but our waitress brought us thick slices of tender yummy orange bread! GF pasta combined with savory marinara sauce in a vegetarian lasagna reminded me of a Slovenian's friend's best ever lasagna. The GF burrito was delicious and quite filling. We shall return!
- Pros: Gluten free menu varied, knowledgeable staff
Comfortable Place for a Lunch Date
by velvetrose at Citysearch
My good (girl)friend and I met at the Olive Branch for lunch. I had been there once and all I can remember is that my date and I had dinner and we accidentally spilled a bottle of wine. The staff was very understanding and helped clean it up with no fuss. The lunch started with some awesome lemon bread that just comes as a teaser, for free. It was fresh baked and I adored it. I ordered a tuna salad and it was huge for lunch. I enjoyed it very much. We even had a chat with one of the cooks who happened to know my friend. The staff was very friendly and down to earth. The atmosphere is classy and comfortable. Perfect place for a lunch date. They do have a bar and are open for dinner, but I think the Olive Branch suits me better for a lunch style cafe than a bar.
- Pros: Cute cozy place, friendly service, reasonable pricing, fresh free lemon bread!
- Cons: Pretty small, has a bar but doesn't seem to be a night kind of place
