We actually had plans to go out of town for Thanksgiving and plans changed at the last minute. I hate to cook, so we decided to go out for Thanksgiving. They had a full course Thanksgiving going on at this restaurant so we made reservations and went out. It was extremely lovely. We didn't want the traditional Thankgiving dinner, so they accomodated us and made us something else on the menu. The atmosphere was nice and romantic and they made our holiday special. It was a very enjoyable evening.
Pros: Nice atmosphere and food, very accomodating, good service
Cons: Parking is hard, small lot and street parking is iffy

I am taking the time to write to you because I think you should know about the very disappointing meal my fiancée and I had last night at your restaurant. We where told we could come in at 8:30 for our 9:00 reservation. We got to the restaurant at 8:45 and we where not seated until 9:45. By the time we got seated you where out of the salmon appetizer you where offering on your Valentines Day menu. I was served instead of salmon, four shrimp on a skewer with pasta, not very special. I selected the Lobster; it was so overcooked I couldn’t eat it. The lobster had the texture of rubber. My fiancée had the Beef Medallions; he ordered them medium rare, it was barely rare. I’ve had seared tuna that was more cooked than these medallions. Half of the portion of the medallions was fat and gristle. He didn’t eat it. The homemade sorbet was horrible; it was served rock hard, not scooped at the time of serving but, sat pre-scooped frozen in the freezer. It was sour, very bitter, the berries from which it was made with where obviously not ripe. We explained to the server our disappointment, and all she could do it apologize profusely. She said no one has ever complained, and she was sorry we didn’t like our dinner. She said, “you should have told me before you stared to eat it, I could have taken it back to the chef”. We would have but she was no where to be found. After she served us each dish she took off and didn’t return until she had the next course. Valentines Day is special to my fiancée and I as it is for most people. Everyone we talk to wants to know where we went for Valentines Day. I will be honest and let them know how unpalatable and disappointing La Petite Maison was.
