In Short – Beautifully framed against the backdrop of the snowy Rockies, the Garden of the Gods formations dwarf human visitors. Paved pathways and well-maintained dirt trails meander through the towering rocks. Guests can stop at the visitor center to watch a short video on how the sandstone formations formed. Free nature walks are offered daily at 10am and 2pm, and you can go rock climbing as long as you register at the visitor center.

I live only a few miles from Garden of the gods and have been there many times. I never get tired of it. It is a very peaceful place to go and forget the pressures of the day. It is my favorite place to visit in Colorado Springs. It is especially beautiful at sunrise.
- Pros: inexpensive, good parking
- Cons: crowded

The park is a wonderfully scenic and safe place for the whole family. There are trails for everyone, even grandma. Be sure to stop by the 100-yr-old Trading Post on the way out. The SW Art Gallery is the best in the state.
- Pros: Free, well maintained, scenic
