Worth the wait.
I might be the worst person ever when it comes to making appointments for anything. My colonoscopy is 4 years overdue. TMI but you get my point.
Anyway, I call too late, change my schedule, go on days I don't want to go... just because Brenda scissor-cuts hair in a way that actually makes me care how it looks.
My wife says it's far and away the best cut I've ever had and that her stylist (who you book 6 weeks out and will cancel you in a heartbeat) could do no better and would charge at least twice as much and make you feel bad about paying that little.
Worth my time and more than worth the money.
Sheer luck is a better description..
After two haircuts, this relationship went downhill fast when I pointed out a couple a spots that needed more body which the owner interpreted as me wanting my hair longer, and resulted in me having to go back and getting one of the worse hack jobs I have ever had in my life. It's going to take a good month before I have enough hair to work with again.
Unfortunately the owner didn't seemed very concerned about it.
Best place in Colorado Springs for a great cut in a casual, friendly environment.
I live in Denver, but I try to time my haircuts with visits to my parents (who live in Colorado Springs) because I get the best haircuts at Shears and I just like the barbers who work there.
The new downtown location offers an improvement in parking convenience and the space is much brighter and open. The warm, friendly atmosphere is what I like most, but the value is a very close second. For a few bucks more than the "fast cut" chains, you get a traditional master barber haircut - no cheesy trimmer wedge combs (don't know what they call them). Men's haircuts include an optional hot lather and straight razor cleanup around the neckline.
The last time I went, I learned that the staff has an average of over 15 years of experience. I'm not surprised... My cuts have always been great.
