Blue Star (aka Five Stars). Et?al ~ The Blue Star is one of the best, if not THE best restaurant in the Springs. I?ve been going there since they opened and have NEVER been disappointed. The food is always excellent, the service is good and the atmosphere is a perfect little upscale joint, light and fun with reasonable prices on the bar side. If you want something a little more intimate and elegant, then scoot over to the restaurant side. Both sides serve fabulously unique, eclectic cuisine with a Mediterranean flair and they have an extensive wine selection. (not to mention the blue cheese stuffed olive martini's!) I promise you, you will love it!

best wine selection ever!. Yes there is wine here, however do not let that compensate for rude service! My server was too busy flirting with a customer at the bar to notice when we needed more drinks or more tapas. Yes the food is unique and delicious, but she had the nerve to get upset when we motioned for her service!

YUCK!!!!. The service was so-so. The food was terrible and the menu did not correlate to what we were actually served. The price was way too high for the bad tasting subpar food that we were served and the portions were tiny. The menu sounds good but my order was missing items that were listed as being in the dish on the menu. The only reason we went there was because we were given a gift card but im glad we didnt actually waste our own money on this place. We will not be back.

Really Bad Experience--Overcharged. Blue Star is a restaurant that is trying to be upscale and "Big Time" but is not even close to being there. The concept is good: elegant interior, extensive wine list, valet parking, coat check, etc. But, the staff is overwhelmed and management is trying to run a Saturday night operation with a Tuesday night staff.

In reality the valet attendant was a ghost, not to be found. The hostess lost the keys to the coat check closet. Despite making specific reservations for an Anniversery they overbooked for 2 Christmas parties and tried to seat us in the bar next to a family with a screaming baby, We had to talk to the manager to get a decent table.

The Osso Bucco had about 3 ounces of meat on it at best, the before dinner drink came an hour later, and then we were overcharged. In the end we spent $120 for 2 including wine but several days later found our credit card charged for $210 with three seperate charges. We are now having to dispute the charges, what a hassle.

If you are going to spend $120 on dinner there are so many places in the Springs that will beat Blue Star out in terms of service and price. I was warned in advance that the service was bad but ignored it--I shouldn't have. Buyer beware. Really disappointing.

Same here... I agree with the two other reviews, what's up with this place???. Seems to be an attempt at California Trendy, but nobody is getting it right. I won't say much more because the two other reviews before me said most of what I expereinced and this place is not worth my time and absolutely not worth my money or yours
