OVER ALL GREAT LITTLE DISCOVERY
Just an Italian Joint. I wouldn't consider this to be a vegetarian restaurant. Yes, they have pasta and you can get it without meat sauce, just like any other Italian restaurant. My husband and I took my best friend here for her birthday. We made reservations and were seated fairly promptly, but it took the waitress about 20 minutes to come over and take our order. She was busy chatting with a table of 8 right next to us. After we ordered, it took another 30 minutes to get our appetizer and wine. Then I think she forgot to put the rest of the order in and went out for a smoke break. It was another hour before we received our food. It was about 9:30 by the time we left the restaurant and they were cleaning and getting ready to close... and our reservation was for 7:00 pm! I've never waited so long. The food was pretty good. I had the gnocci, which was fine but not the best I've ever had. There's so many good Italian restaurants out there, that I probably wouldn't go back.
Great Italian Food!. Since moving to this city I have searched for good Italian food similar to my Grandmother's cooking. The widely known restaurant chains I tried did not deliver what I was looking for. A few friends had recommended Antonio's so I figured I'd give it try. Reservations can always be called in prior to dining, which is an added convenience most restaurants do not offer. I was very impressed with the food; it was and is still exactly what I was looking for in Italian food. All the staff is very courteous and accommodating, including management who walk around and greet customers. It has a very comfortable atmosphere that makes you feel at home while enjoying authentic food and desserts. Live music is offered on Sunday nights making the experience more authentic. The prices are generally between $10 -$20 per entree, which some may find too expensive, but it is worth every penny.
Absolutely the WORST EXPERIENCE.
If you want Denny's type food, EAT AT DENNY's and pay less than the $71.00 worth of garbage we ate at 'Antonio's'. The pasta was laughable, a fast food place could have done excellent compared to what we were served.
When we spoke to the manager(John), and by the way, we were very polite about the fact that the food was dry, cold and did not taste right, he replied, "Don't come back, we don't need people like you". If you look at their web site,it looks like this place is a white table type setting, believe us, it's more like a Sonic outside dining.
Save your money. This place is at the bottom. Might as well as served us with plastic tableware along with the plastic plate we were served on. Go to the web site and you would think that the place was a four star restaurant. They charge the prices, just deliver McD's food and atmosphere. HORRIBLE!
