Worst experience. We bought a pre owned
Toyota from Liberty Toyota and were called to come back three separate times because they missed signatures. Also, they were shady and added things into our loan that was not outwardly discussed.
To make it worse, 4 months after purchasing our vehicle it was in for repairs.
and the Sales Manager Jeff Kostenko is a slimy sales man who could care less about his customers or the vehicles he sells.
I just want to say, I have never had a worse customer service nightmare in my life. My wife bought a 2007 Toyota 4runner from this dealership. After 3 weeks of ownership, the engine light came on. She took it in, and after having it for 4 hours, they told her it was just the gas cap, but they went ahead and took care of the accelerator recall that was on this car. (Why was this not done before the car was sold?) A $110 diagnostic fee they could tell her what was wrong. She took it to autozone and got the diagnostic for free, and it was a throttle position sensor. Liberty told her that that part would be $915. They also told her it was not related to the recall, and the warranty on the car was not in effect, and if it was would not cover it. All before she made her first payment. My wife tried to trade the car for something else, and after jerking her around for another month (not returning her calls, telling the bank she wanted a car she didnt, ect.) I called angry, and after waiting for a call right back for 3 hours, was told there was nothing they could do. We took the car to a real Toyota Dealership (Go Toyota) and they said the fix would be covered by the recall. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!! THEY REFUSE TO STAND BEHIND THE CARS THEY SELL!!!!
Don't Go Here unless you want to be screwed....
To Whom It May Concern:
I suggest you don’t go to Liberty Toyota. Talk about a greedy, untruthful, deceitful, unethical business… I understand the dealership has to make a profit but to screw a disabled vet for $3,500.00 is a bit much. They insisted her car was not worth what she was asking for it. If that is true, why would another, more honest dealer give her that much for it? Yes, it was another Toyota Dealership. So, think about it. If the other dealership pays $3,500.00 more for it you know they will turn around and sell it for MORE. Liberty Toyota was going to make OVER $7,000.00 just on her. Is this a honest transaction to you? I looked at some of the other reviews that were good about Liberty and they didn’t have much to say. They were nice or, whatever. Hell, let me screw you damn good and I can be NICE too. PFFT!
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. This is the worst car buying experience we have ever had. Salesman didn't know anything, promises were never kept, the car rattled from day one and scratched just looking at it. We were told it was our fault because we bought a dark colored car - seriously? They tried for weeks and weeks to fix the sun roof rattle and the windows rattling with little success. The last straw was when we noticed all of the chrome had started to rust and we were told that it was the chemicals that they use on the road and that we shouldn't drive when its snowing. We had this 2011 Highlander for 7 months, we traded it for a 2012 BMW yesterday. We were treated like human beings by BMW and are thanking our lucky stars that we never have to deal with LARRY H. MILLER TOYOTA AGAIN. GOOD RIDANCE!
Damaged My Car - TERRIBLE SERVICE!.
Damaged my brand new car during a routine service. Toyota acknowledged the damaged and had me bring it in to fix it -the dashboard was scratched and it was very noticable. I brought my car in and they simply rubbed armorall on it. NOT ACCETABLE. As soon as the armorall wears off the scratch is noticable again.
They also refused to fix a paint chip covered under the warranty. It was very obvious that nothing struck the vehilce but there happen to be a lack of primer under the paint chip (minor paint flaw) but they refused to fix it despite me even having a bumper to bumper landocar warranty.
The shuttle service has REFUSED to pick me up even 20 minutes before closing. Driver stated, "if I pick you up, I may not get off on time". WOW, HOW PROFFESIONAL HUH?
The car has been returned FILTHY to me on numerous occasions despite me turning it in clean.
If you react in any other way besides satisfied on their surveys, they take it out on your service guy, which is not OKAY! HOW IS IT HIS FAULT?
I spoke to the general manager, he is completely useless.
Don't go there - a disservice to Toyota. I bought a used car from these guys who promised to have a new timing belt and water pump installed as part of the purchase. When I happened to stop at another dealership because of noise, they said the intended work had never been done. When I confronted the salesman, he said to bring it in on a certain day. On that day, I took off from work and the sale guy never bothered to call me back. In fact, it took 2 hrs to get a sales mgr who then never got back to me. Toyota makes a great product. I have owned lots of these cars. But this dealership is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I would strongly recommend going elsewhere.
Good follow up. Resolved an issue- we appreciate the effort by Liberty Toyota
