Course description: A basic design with everything laid out in front of you. The course features modest bunkering with a few fairway traps and only a few small ponds that come into play. The course is generally flat, with the exception of five holes on the back nine that offer some elevation changes. The fast greens with surprising breaks provide the greatest challenge.
Signature hole: No. 12 -- 187 yards, par 3. A downhill shot to a small green fronted by sand and water. The tee box is the highest point on the course and provides tremendous views of the Rocky Mountains, especially Pike's Peak.
Best birdie chance: No. 2 -- 580 yards, par 5. Wide open off the tee, especially to the right. The green is flat and fair.
Play policy: No restrictions on public play. Carts are not required, and do not follow the 90-degree cart rule when used. Walking is allowed, and pull carts are available. No tank tops, halter tops, short shorts, torn jeans or jeans with holes.
Spikeless shoes required.
Reservation policy: Tee times may be made three days in advance.
Directions: From Interstate 25, take Exit 156-A east to North Gate Road. Turn left on Gleneagle Drive and follow it to Mission Hill Way.
Fees (18 holes/9 holes): Monday to Friday ($20/$12); Saturday and Sunday ($25/$14). Nov. to Feb., $10 for 18 holes. Power cart rental ($22/$12); pull cart, $3.
