Not pleased with the company. I made a purchase on a fold out bed back in Feb, I found a better deal at a different place. They did not want to price match it and did not even want to give me a refund on the item!

You get what you paid for? No Quality control. This would be my third purchase from AFW , yes I keep going back, But I can't afford good furniture, The first purchase was a kitchen cabinet "set" very cool, nice looking made out of oak, great but when we brought them home and unpackaged them they were different one was taller and one had a different base, we went back and explained the problem , all we got was thats the way it is take it or leave it, for the price though high in our world we kept them but come on a "set, The last one was a set of twin adjustable beds made by Boyd , We had them delivered and to be set up, the guys who brought them were very nice but in such a hurry to take off , the set the bed up , two nights later my wife of 120 pounds had her side sinking in, turns out the guys didn't screw in the legs , in turn bending the legs, I bent it back and screwed it in,, Plus the bed stopper on her side was very loose because nobody tighten the hex bolts down, They also talked about a manual for the bed, but when I looked in the box after they left no manual, I did call them and they did e-mail me a copy. simple things that could be avoided, Which accumulate and are aggravating warranty is something I never seen before either basically saying check out your purchase very closely because you can not afford to send your purchase back, very liberating for the company, Yes if you buy something before you leave or they leave after delivering the item check it out with a fine tooth comb so to speak, One point on their side is returns kill furniture stores, elliminating returns boost your profit enormously, which explains the "Discount Furniture" pricing, Its a good place to buy cheap furniture , with some great exceptions but really check the item out before purchase there is a reason they can sell thing cheap, keep that in mind

Terrible service. For the first time, this weekend my wife and have visited this store, we were looking for some furniture for our spare bedroom and I was impressed by the range of furniture available and the prices. After a while we chose what we wanted around $700 and went to place the order. I was informed of the delivery charges and told the sales girl I was going to pick up myself she then informed me that the furniture would have to be transferred from Denver and would be in Tuesday of next week, great, no problem. Then she told me I would be subject to a 3% transfer fee, why I asked? Company policy she said, we are just a showroom, not my problem I said objecting to the extra charge. She told me that I could go to Denver and collect the items at no extra charge and they would actually pay me $20 by means of a gift card, that would be more than the 3% transfer fee I told her, keep your $20 and transfer my stuff free? Can't do that, company policy, what a show stopper, no sale. How is this company in business, first impression really do matter, I will not be rushing back to AFW. Beware of any hidden fees by these people.

Absolute WORST customer service. I purchased $4k worth of furniture from American Furniture Warehouse. All but one item was delivered on time. I have had to contact the store THREE times (because no one from the store has bothered to keep me updated on my order) only to be told each time my delivery date has been extended several more weeks. The last reason my order was further delayed was because other customers had ordered this item before me (this is just the latest excuse). I can understand that. What I can't understand is why I wasn't warned of that, or why AFW didn't keep up with supply, when they clearly knew what the demand was. When I called, the first manager suggested I return all the matching items (which have already been delivered, and which inconveniently give you a four hour delivery time the DAY BEFORE delivery at a charge of 7% of your order) and "get something else". When I asked to speak to another manager he said he was "the only manager in the store". I reinforced my desire to speak with another manager, so he "found one". The second manager was worse than the first! She was rude, condescending, and had a MAJOR attitude, as if this is my fault! She shifted the blame to the supplier, to me the customer, to everyone, but her or her employees. Now, I have to simply sit here and wait until my order may or may not come in. I literally purchased everything in my home around this one item. I took a drawer from the item around the store matching the rest of my furniture to it. Why should I have to get something else because they can't solidify a delivery date? Further, wouldn't offering me something as simple as 10% off my next order be easier than being so incredibly rude about THEIR mistake? I am so frustrated. Unfortunately, AFW simply does not care. They are a "warehouse" company selling mass supply. I wish I had been warned before spending money on items that are important enough to me to be in my home.

American Furniture's $100 policy. American Furniture Warehouse has THE worst customer service anywhere. They are trained that if you don't like the way they do business, or if you don't like their snotty attitudes, too bad because "there's the door" and Mr. Jabs encourages this. He actually brags about the fact that most of his sales staff should not even be selling to a large percentage of customers because they do not buy into his way of doing business. He does not like to be questioned. They do have a policy there that not too many people know about, and I'm pretty sure Mr Jabs would not appreciate it getting out, but if you the customer are unhappy about something that goes on there, be it quality or lack of service and are asking for something that totals under $100, they have to give it to you or they will lose their job.

Why Would Anyone Shop Here?. My wife and I have bought 2 items from AFW and both experiences were terrible. We have a resale license and tried to buy the items tax-free. NONE of the clerks or managers understood. They tried to tell us we had the wrong license--that we needed the tax exempt license for non-profits. We tried to explain to no avail. I even called their corporate office, spoke to a manager who understood what we were trying to accomplish, then spoke to a subordinate who refused to hear us out. And don't get me started on their style and quality. I'd much rather buy my furniture from Domino Home in Old Colorado City.

AMerican Furniture warehouse. well for the past two years ive been buying from AMerican furniture ware house here in Pueblo, Colorado, and i bought a table from there, i love it, everything went well with that order, i also bought a bed from there, which also went well, i bought a couch from there about three months ago, we paid for our couch, and the employee that we always go to every purchase said it would take up to two weeks for our order to come in, so we waited, we called because our order did not come in, he said we would have to wait an additional month for our order, which made me angry, we waited and my couches didnt come in again, so we called and he said they wouldnt be in for another month, i was so so frustrated, i hate that place, i will never shop there again, and i will continue to tell people how bad it is there and have them go some where else, i am currently finding a couch store, because i still need new couches, im scared to trust anybody, its sad. i also heard alot of talk about this store here in pueblo, which is not very good news. so Jake Jabbs if your reading this, please making changes to your store and maybe people will buy more from there.

Don't buy anything from this store!. We bought a sectional from this company and it was a nightmare! First when the movers dropped it off they put a huge 6 foot long scratch on our wall. They also chipped off pieces of the wood from the bottom of the sofa and there was a leg that was cracked and then glued back together wrong . Then on top of that there was some sort of problem with the springs. When you sat on the cushion it would make this scraping metal sound. So we had to call and complain about all of this to the very rude and sarcastic rep on the phone. They sent out a technician to fix the wood but said they would have to reschedule for the springs because they would need to take apart the back of the couch and it would be a long process. So we rescheduled for that and when they came to fix it they discovered that it wasn’t the springs. They said that there were pieces of metal protruding from the back of the couch and it was scraping the cushion up when you sat down and that is just how that sectional is made. So they told us that they would have to take our sofa out of our house and bring it to their shop where they would take the whole thing apart, fix the metal pieces and then put it all back together. At this point we were beyond angry. We called the customer service line to talk to a manager about it and got a hold of the biggest b**** I’ve ever encountered. She didn’t care about our situation and just made a bunch of excuses and then argued with us until she finally hung up on us. So we went to the store and talked to a manager there to get a full refund but they wouldn’t even do that. After all their ridiculous fees and BS that they put us through, we ended up paying them to get treated like s*** and not even have a piece of furniture to show for it. Do not buy anything from this company! Poor quality doesn’t even begin to explain their furniture and the customer service is horrible!
