Charming boutique hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the food and the service at the Cliffhouse! Its not the perfect Victorian expereince, but it certainly is excellent in almost every aspect
Best Romantic Getaway.
I've spent Valentines Day and our Wedding Night at the Cliff House. The bed and breakfast is top of the line. The rooms are beautiful with fireplaces, all the extras, jacuzzi tubs and steam showers. In my opinion, there is no other bed and breakfast that can measure up to the cliff house. The breakfast is delightful and quiet and romantic. They have these cinnamon breakfast bars that I can eat five of, they are so good. We had our family brunch there after our wedding and all of the family was very impressed with the upkeep and history of the building and the detail they put into the service of our meal. We were glad to show off a classy part of Colorado Springs to all of them.
The restaurant itself is good. The food is right up there as far as quality in this city. We even got some wine selection help from the manager. I wouldn't say that the restaurant is the best in town for service, but I have no qualms about going back. My husband and I will be back to enjoy a romantic evening at the Cliff House in one of the suites again, you can count on that. I've never had a more relaxing weekend than when I spent it there.
Civilized comfort and first-class service shine through the rugged wilderness at this historic inn..
In Short
The modern Victorian architecture and design typifies the elegance and hospitality of this hotel. Though the original building dates back to 1873, all modern conveniences are provided, from the technology center to the in-room spa tubs. Enjoy panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains from the veranda, dine in the gourmet restaurant that features local ingredients, or have cocktails and relax by the fire in the music lounge. A variety of different meeting facilities are also available.
No amenities and poor dining. Beautiful rooms, but manitou springs, what a joke. There is nothing to do in this town. The hotel needs a spa, a golf course, tennis, something, it is just rooms, and the restaurant is far from the world class they claim.
Not Bad. a beatiful dining room and great hotel, but the location is awful, and the restaurant just average. Decent food and service, but nothing special.
Romantic & Family Friendly. What an amazing Dad's Day 2003 at the Cliff House. We stayed in the amazing Edison Suite - I defintely recommend it for anyone looking to relax, even if the kids are with you. This room had a fireplace, fridge, sink, tub large enough for my 6'5" husband to relax in, views of the mountains, a marble shower with 3 different heads spouting water massages and a towel warmer. Did I mention the TV in the batroom & the VCRs in each TV? The food was amazing & the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is walking distance from a quaint downtown with terrific shops including an olde fashioned candy shoppe 1 block away that makes fudge and carries oldies like charleston chews! Great Experience all around!
