Mucky Duck New Owners. The Mucky Duck offers a great overall dining experience. My ham and eggs benedict breakfast had a savory combination of flavors. It arrived perfectly cooked with their revered hollandaise sauce. The chef, wait staff, and new local owners (who also own Duckies Coffee) provide a complete recipe for mountain town hospitality.
Our son was married this weekend at Green Mountain Falls and we had the rehersal supper at the Mucky Duck. Kathy and Jerry were great to work with prior to the dinner and that night Jim took care of all 25 of us with great service. He was fun, prompt and professional. The meal consisted of prime rib, chicken, potato choice and an awesome blueberry cheese breaded pudding.. The food was fabulous!! Since they are located in the mountains, The appearance goes with the surroundings, so don't expect elegant decor, but expect to leave very satisfied.. Thank you for making a part of our Son's wedding successful and memorable..

Glenn gonzalez. Great food perfect to the last bite thanks again it has been years ur the best.
Excellent food don't order the coffee. The food here is superb, (although the lack of vegitarian options is sad) The coffee does nothing for the food, the desserts are top notch, but the coffee does nothing for them. Breakfast benedicts are the best in the Springs, but again the coffee brings nothing to the meal.
Great Food, Great atmosphere. Mucky Duck has a wonderful variety of delicious, well prepared food, the atmosphere is very romantic and relaxing, the service and employees are always very friendly and helpful, and as a previous empolyee, I can personaly say the owners are the best people I have ever worked for and are honest employers. I greatly enjoyed working at Mucky Duck and still visit as often as I can. I would highly recommend Muck Duck to anyone, and have countless times.
Expensive and food so-so. My husband and I went here for a fun Valentine's Day dinner. Unfortunately there was a pre-set menu so I didn't get to try some of the things others recommended. We were expecting a casual but nice dinner, but we ended up spending a lot more than we had expected and the food was mediocre. The tomato bisque was great, but after that everything went downhill. The entree was just okay and the creme brulee dessert was soupy and cold, looked more like flan. I do have to say the ambiance was nice...I just wish the food was too. We both left feeling disappointed and couldn't believe we spent that much on a sub par dinner.
Poor Employment practices, Average food..
I dined there a few months back. The food and service were average. The prices a bit high. What troubles me most is what I heard from the kitchen and then later in the bar next to it.
It seems they pay their employees under the table. As I said, I heard this from employees as well as regulars, so it is a pretty believable rumor.
As a business owner myself, who is concerned with the fair treatment of my employees, this bothers me to no end. This means their employees have been talked into employment where no taxes, social security, or workman's comp. have been set aside for them. What do they do when injured? A kitchen is a dangerous place! Not only is this illegal, it brings American employment a step backward into the days of the industrial revolution or even slavery. I refuse to give patronage to a business that is not following American labor laws. The laws are there to keep employment fair for ALL of us. I may be investigating the rumors further and perhaps reporting them.
Best Fench Dip, Excellent Customer Service, Family owned and operated. This place is the best! Tucked away in Green Mountain Falls, this spot is quaint and casual. Great food of all kinds. There is something for everyone, even picky eaters like my kids. You can go for breakfast, lunch, dinner, bruch. You can be dressy or casual. The owner Kathy has a diverse backgorund in the restaraunt business and has a knack for knowing what people want! If I lived in Green Mountain Falls I would eat here every day.
