the New Year Dragon has vomited!. We are new to Colorado and wanted something special to celebrate the New Year of the Dragon last night. After reading the reviews, we ordered take out. What a disappointment! First they forgot the white rice which came with the Sweet & Sour, which was so overcooked it was crunchy nuggets of burned meat. The fried rice for the Kung Pao had no flavor or veggies, the Cha Chao Buns were tough and the paper stuck to the bottom, taking most of the bottom along with it, and the Kung Pao was so full of MSG that my head has been raging all day! Either the locals here don't have a clue about good food or the cook was having an exceptionally bad night, but it is HIGHLY doubtful we will ever eat here again. It's too bad since the staff was so nice! Such a shame!…
Very satisfied on Christmas Day. We went to Hunan Springs Christmas Day. I ordered the sesame chicken and it was great. It looked beautiful with fruit garnishes and it tasted fresh and delicious. The service was very good too. The restaurant could use a slight remodeling, but I found it very comfortable. We will be back.…
Mei's Hunan Springs is the "BEST". I have been going to Mei's Hunan Springs for over a year now!! I go twice a week and the food is outstanding! My favorites are the combo fried rice and the Sesame chicken. Each meal is full of great flavor and spices to add. Karen is the top waitress and always gives top notch service. I feel like an old-time friend each and every time I dine there! No disappointments ever!!!!!!!!!!!…
Hunan Springs. Best Chinese restaurant in Colorado Springs I've had to date :)
Colorado Springs Best Chinese Food. I've been enjoying Mei's food for more than 8 years now and have seldom been disappointed. The manager, Karen, continues Mei's (the owner) warm and wonderful customer service, and is always ready and willing to accommodate special requests, such as "more heat/spice" or "add pork to my garlic green beans," . . . My favorite dishes include, but are certainly not limited to: Combination Egg Foo Young, Salt & Pepper Shrimp, Pork & Mixed Veggies in Garlic Sauce, Sizzling Chicken Platter, Sesame Chicken or Shrimp, Shao-My, and Beef Curry Dumplings . . . Yummmm! I see them once or twice each month, even if only for take-out -- they are on my MUST Enjoy list!…
