Bad service, and zero follow up by owner – My wife and I stopped in for ice cream one night after a movie. Before going in, I told my wife that the service here was usually lacking; sure enough, the young blond haired girl (Asian tattoo on her neck), was behind the counter. Not only was she extremely rude as usual...rolling her eyes and such, she snapped at me because I hadn't made up my mind yet; keep in mind, there was nobody behind us. After this experience, and others at this location, I decided to write the owner, and convey my thoughts. Not only did I not receive a response, but things appear to be status quo at this location. I stopped in the other day, and the service is still ridiculously poor, the store is unkept, and quality of ice cream simply is not there. I can tell you this: take the time to drive to the location on North Academy...it's worth the drive, because the service there is always excellent.
Save your money and go somewhere else! – My family and I stopped here after a movie for a treat. We used to love coming to this location-- boy have they gone downhill! First of all, they still had the valentine's day decorations up (it was April) which wasn't really an issue but just goes to show you nobody's paying attention around there!
They didn't have half of the stuff we wanted (which they are supposed to carry) and the girls behind the counter were incredibly snotty and rude. The manager girl (she was hardly old enough to manage anything!) even so much as rolled her eyes at my wife when she asked if there was anywhere else we could sit. I mean come on!
Sweet tooths line up for ice cream concoctions made on a granite slab. – In Short
Crowds of couples, teenagers and parents with toddlers press up against the long refrigerated display case at this dessert chain, where a variety of ice creams, frozen yogurts and sorbets are made in-store daily. Customers choose flavors like sweet cream, cake batter or banana, add mix-ins--ranging from candy bar chunks and Gummi bears to hot fudge and peanut butter--then servers mash it all together on a frozen slab of granite.
Best Ice Cream in Town, Employees are GREAT! – I've been going to Cold Stone Creamery's since the first one opened in Colorado (well over 7 years ago)... the franchise is growing quickly so most people are familiar with the concept/what they do there. I must say that this location (next to the movie theater on Powers) is by far my favorite location to go to-- even though there is almost always a line, it's worth the wait! The kids who work there are always friendly and helpful, they seem to really love their jobs and have a great time with each other. It's so refreshing to see customer service employees actually having fun-- you can't help but leave happy!! They don't do much of the cheesy singing at this one (THANK GOODNESS!) so you can tip the kids without the embarrassment of a silly song. Of course, if you want them to sing they are more than happy to.
Delicious ice cream, great service! – This place is great! The ice cream is so wonderful. They have a great variety (when you consider all the mix-ins)...I've never had the same thing twice! The customer service is great as well. Because of the fact that it's located in a busy area, they tend to have a long line of customers, but they are very quick. The only con I would say is the amount of seating space. It's hard to find an available table to sit at and enjoy your dessert. They only have 3 tables inside and about 2 or 3 outside.
