I have really long hair & for years have been told that I need to stand while getting a trim. Davey Jones (my stylist) has been the FIRST stylist I've had that actually told me to SIT & RELAX, then got on his knees to trim my hair! The entire experience, from shampoo to the trim to the style was GREAT! And the salon is beautiful! I will DEFINATELY go to Davey Jones from now on!
Eric your awesome, right on the money. We are in AF and moving was made much easier after finding Eric
I miss my hair stylist!!. I was a client of Nicole for many years before she moved to Colorado. Now, years later, I still have not found a stylist that has the ability to color and cut my hair as she does; she has such an eye for detail, and a very friendly attitude. I miss her!! I have even considered flying to Colorado just to get her to do my hair!! You owe it to yourself to give Nicole a try as you are lucky enough to have her in your area. You WILL walk out extremely satisfied as her hands work their magic! Lady Godiva, it is your good fortune to have Nicole! - Angie B
Great experience!. Last Time I went in to get my hair done at Lady Godiva Hair Studio I was so impressed and happy with my results! Im usually so picky about who does my hair but with Nicole as my hair stylist it was well worth it because the finished results were perfect and it was exactly what I wanted! I will continue to go to Nicole for my hair at Lady Godiva Hair Studio!!
Love My Hair!!!.
I just recently visited Lady Godiva Hair Studio and I couldn’t be happier! Nicole was my stylist and what I loved most about her was that she listened to what I wanted. I have been to a lot of salons and I feel like they always talked me into doing something I didn’t want and I left unhappy. This experience with Nicole truly was wonderful and I will continue to go back. I felt like she really listened and cared about what I wanted. My hair feels great and the overall experience was amazing. Can't wait until my next appointment!
Lady Godiva (and Dan) are the BEST!!. I'd been searching for a new stylist and decided to try Lady Godiva on a friend's recommendation. I chose Dan because of his hair coloring expertise and am SO excited that I've found my perfect mat ch in Dan. He asks the right questions, listens to your responses and has that touch of magic that brings out the best in your hair. I love my color and cut and look forward to a long relationship with Dan and the great staff at Lady Godiva
Found My New Hairdresser: Dan!.
Very pleased ! I recently moved to the Springs and had yet to find a hairdresser. If you know me, you know I am OCD about my hair. It has been every color and length you can think of! I met Dan when he decided to join a fitness bootcamp my fiance and I run. We instantly liked Dan's warm personality and sense of humor! When I found out he was a hairdresser, I was excited and knew I could trust him.
I had my appointment yesterday and was surprised when I walked in! The place has such a very cool vibe, like something you'd find in NYC or Toronto.
Dan did not even blink when I told him I wanted to go blonder, (which hairdressers in the past have given me a hard time about.)
He had no problem with the color I requested and was very confident. It put me at ease immediately! I loved the conversation, along with the whole experience! My hair turned out exactly the way I had been asking previous hairdresser to do it for for over a year now. Not only that, but the quality of my hair feels amazing, especially for going lighter! I am extremely impressed.
I now have a hairdresser I can trust (for the first time!) My anxiety over my hair has turned to excitement!
I recommend Dan to anyone!
I purchased a Groupon and showed up for a haircut sight-unseen. I was welcomed by Dan and received exceptional service. And, the guy makes remarkable truffles (the best I have ever tasted) that are available for purchases over the holidays.
If you are looking for a new stylist, look no further!
Dan is a Treasure!!.
I live in Boston, but I have family in the Springs, and I make sure that I schedule with Dan whenever I am in town. I will not get my hair done anywhere else.
1. The results are incredible.
I have never once left the salon without loving the cut and color of my hair. I get blond and light brown highlights. I have never fully liked the results I have gotten anywhere else--either the texture is strange (often too chunky) or the color isn't quite right (e.g. platinum blond that washes me out, or too much variation between the light and medium highlights). Dan gets it right every time--better than I could have imagined it, myself.
2. You don't have to be able to articulate exactly what you want in order to get a flattering color/cut.
Personally, I have neither the vocabulary nor the aesthetic know-how to design my own cut/color. I dislike going to a salon where the stylist expects me to know exactly what I want and will do exactly as I say, with no artistic input. If I wanted to design my own hair, I would cut it myself around the perimeter of a bowl, and I would use boxed dye.
Dan is an artist. He takes the time to assess your skin tone, your face shape, and your general stylistic inclinations. He will design a personalized haircut/color job. It will look good on you.
3. For what you get, it is very economical.
I used to dye my hair using boxed dye once a month. So, I was spending upwards of $144 every year on dye alone. Plus, as the end of the month neared, my roots would be grown out and my hair looked scary. Also, the dye fried my hair.
Now, I see Dan about 3 times a year for both a cut and color, and considering I get both a cut and color, the price difference is negligible. Also, I don't terrify small children. Add to that the fact that my hair is in much better condition and the happiness that comes from knowing my hair looks good, and an appointment with Dan is a steal.
4. Lady Godiva is a Paul Mitchell salon. Paul Mitchell products are excellent and ethical.
Lady Godiva uses Paul Mitchell products exclusively. I wanted to know if Dan, personally, really thought they were the best products and if they were worth the money. He told me that he chose to work in a Paul Mitchell salon because he supports their products--both as a stylist and a person. Paul Mitchell products are high-quality and non-carcinogenic. Personally, I feel good about supporting a brand that cares about stylists' health. I know stylists who have developed cancer at a very early age, due to the frequency of exposure they had working with carcinogenic dyes.
Also, the Awapuhi product line that Dan uses is made from awapuhi that is harvested on the company's sustainable, solar-powered farm in Hawaii.
I like patronizing a salon where the stylists can articulate what I consider such compelling reasons for selling a particular line of products. What's more, Dan seemed genuinely happy to explain why he stands behind Paul Mitchell.
5. Time with Dan is time well-spent.
Dan is genuinely interested in other people and is open and fun to talk with. I hate being chirped at by a snooty stylist who makes me feel like they wouldn't be talking at me if I wasn't paying for their services. I'm sure it gets tiresome sometimes for stylists to make conversation with clients all day, but if Dan ever feels that way, he's never shown it.
I almost hate to tell other people about what a gem Dan is, because I don't want him to become too busy to do my hair! But he deserves all the success in the world.
First time here-love the result. Came here for a groupon. Have been trying many salons in town because no one seemed to get my hair color or cut right. I have very curly long hair so it is difficult to begin with but Dan did an amazing job. The color is perfect and the cut seems to minimize frizz :) He is very friendly and understood what kind of look I was going for. I will def be back and hopefully this is my new place!
