Good BBQ. This place doesn't seem much from the outside and the inside appearance (seems like a big room where customers eat and employees make the BBQ) is as basic as it gets. The employees are friendly and quick at preparing the plates. This place experiences a steady flow of clientele especially during lunchtime. I found their BBQ to be pretty good. They regularly have special lunch deals for each day. Overall good place to have some BBQ or take out food.

Best BBQ in the Springs. They live up to their reputation. Ribs are wonderful, staff is friendly. Fast service.

The best BBQ this side of Memphis!!!. My wife and I enjoyed the beef brisket. Amazingly tender and moist, fried okra was just right and potato salad to die for. This the standard by which others should be compared. Try it!!

Great Barbeque always the same. My family, friends and I have eaten at Birddog many times and we think the barbecue is some of the best in town. You stand in line and choose your food and they plate it in front of you. The barbeque and sides are great. Nothing too fancy.

We have taken home and eaten there. Just home town atmosphere. I suggest it .

Take out is good for meetings or parties.

Meat Lover's Dream. Whatever you do, don't LOOK at the place -- just order and EAT! Bird Dog has everything I could ask for in a brisket sandwich: piled high with tender, juicy, MEAT! The sauces are tasty, tho' I like mine with an ocean of Tabasco. My Mom had the potato with brisket. This is something neither of us had ever seen. My goodness, this was a huge potato with a huge amount of the same tasty brisket piled on top. WOW! All this food was a bargain, too.

As far as the ambience, that needs some ... well ... A LOT of work. Policing around the trashcans and tables would go along way to making the place look cleaner. And on one wall the appliances look like they came out of a landfill. The food is so good, I can buck-up and ignore that stuff.
