Food was "ok". Service Excellent!. We are from New Mexico and have been visiting mexican restaurants all over Colorado Springs. This restaurant was rated high on this site so we thought we'd give it a try. The chips and salsa were standard. The salsa was a bit watery and the refried bean liquid was interesting as a dip for the chips. We tried combo plates and they were pretty good. Nothing like we are used to in New Mexico. The masa on the tamale was a bit mushy and the refried beans were like baby food. No texture. I will say that the service was exceptional! Overall it was just "ok".…
Great atmosphere.
We went for an early dinner, so the restaurant wasn't crowded. We got excellent, friendly service, and were delighted that the music over the speakers was loud enough to enjoy, but low enough to
carry on a conversation in normal tones instead of the shouts requied in some places.
The menu had a great variety, and although we had our favorites, we look forward to going back and trying the other dishes. I've had better food (at much higher prices) but the overall experience was the best I' ve known in recent years.…

Purty Quality Mexican Food. I enjoyed eating at this restaurant and the mix of hispanic population in this restaurant made me feel confident that the food would come out great.
