Since the Ramada brand made its debut in 1954 in Flagstaff, Ariz., the hotel franchise has been offering dependable accommodations with budget-wise perks. Families appreciate the kids-stay-free policy for children 17 and under staying with their parents. Other amenities usually include a swimming pool, full-service restaurant, lounge, in-room data ports and voice mail. Group rates--for wedding parties, corporate groups or family reunions--are available for parties requiring 10 or more rooms per night.

Smoke filthy room. We stayed at this Ramada Inn in Feb-05. We asked for a non-smoking room but the room clearly had been used as smoking room in the past because the air was thick with smoke smell. Since we had to leave as soon as we checked in, we didn't think the smell was too bad at first. But when we came back the smell was unbelievable but it was too late in the night to ask for another room. They may just stick us in another that would be 10x worse. Everything smells of smoke including bed sheets and the air vent. All our clothes and bags smell like smoke when we left there.
