Greed - The Price of Food. This restaurant epitomizes the elitism of America: “You only matter until you’ve surrendered your last dollar.” Joseph’s belongs in the heart of New York, where you can burn a thousand people, and next week, a thousand more will come in. That is not the community of Colorado Springs. I’m a doctor and have eaten at many restaurants across the world. Joseph’s is a Russian Roulette experience; if you’re there at just the right time, you might walk away happy; but you’ll be in the minority. If a restaurant’s rating is 75%, that means that there were a HUGE number of people disappointed, just a few of them felt it was so important enough to find their way through the internet just to warn their community. Those who were actually served and somehow saved from that fatal bullet, liked the food enough to chime in. If we like a place we visit, we are compelled to chime in our experience. But to write a bad review means that, not only did the place waste my time and money, but I’m going to waste even more time & effort to WARN others. Now, that is selflessness! Stay away from this place; it is cursed.
Great Restaurant; Amazing Service!!!!!!.
Joseph's might be one of the best restaurants in the Springs for 2 reasons: Ingredients (quality & flavor) and Service (they have the best waiter we have ever had, anywhere).
The food was cooked, presented, and tasted perfect, though it did take a little longer than we thought it would for not being too busy early on a Thursday night. Amazing combinations of flavors and colors on the plates.
Our expectations for service, however, were more than we expected. Our waiter, Rick was his name I believe, was not only professional and attentive, but he was entertaining, witty, and light-hearted. We took his recommendations and were not disappointed.
At first we thought he owned the place; He seemed to be in control of what was going in the dining room and he interacted with most the guests that were there (though I don't think he was waiting on them). It wasn't until about 45 minutes into the meal that we finally saw Joseph in the dining room. He didn't impress us at all! He paid very little attention to his customers and when he wasn't on his cell phone he just stood in front of a table cooking a steak and barking orders at his staff.
To be honest, if it wasn't for his staff Joseph wouldn't survive and we wouldn't be back...lucky for him they care enough for us to come back again and again!
