I want to say so much about the awful experience that we just went through at this restaraunt, but all I can say is eat at your own risk and make your own judgement. We didnt get to the food so I can't say anything about the product. All I can do is wish them well. I will never return.
Will never go there again!.
So...a roll of TP and a few cigarettes later....(Let's flashback to the beginning) It's 6 O' Clock PM and my boyfriend and I decide it would be nice to go have some nice BBQ for Valentine's Day. We pull up and the smell of the meat smoking fills the air. There's a special of all you can eat Beef ribs for $13.99 . We walk in and it's a small venue with firehouse memorabelia all over the walls...maybe 15 table's and a bar. The waitress was a nice girl. She takes our order but before this tells us that they are out of certain items. It's 6:13pm or so and we place our order for the all you can eat ribs. We inspect our surroundings and look over the 4 different kinds of BBQ sauce on our table in..of all things...Corona 6 pack boxes. First clue? Maybe...but ignored. 6:45pm still no food. Our mouth's watering and eagerly anticipating the tasty ribs. 7:00 pm...STILL no food. All the while I decide to read review's on the place. 99% of the review's were...not so good..but they were dated almost 1 year ago. I think...maybe it's better now. 7:05 pm...we FINALLY get our food. These..um..all you can eat ribs...well they start you off with..I think was 1 or 2. Now I know that with really great BBQ they shouldn't be over powere by seasoning so that you can appreciate the meat itself. However....the first thing noticed before biting into them was the amount of fat...AND grease. We give it a chance and proceed to chow. The meat had no flavor at all. It was very bland. I myself endured maybe 2-3 thinking again, maybe it gets better. WRONG! Our waitress comes out and asks us if we needed more. She goes to the back and 10 min's later comes out and asks us if it was ok if she gave us baby back ribs instead because they were out of beef. We said , "Sure" thinking again that maybe these would be better. We got 3 ribs with this refill and well....they weren't fatty BUT they too were very bland. The best tasting part of the whole meal was the hand cut french fries because......well because they were the hottest part of the meal! The ribs were barely warm. The waitress...again a nice girl...came out and we asked for our check and a box for the beef rib bones for our dogs. She said thank you for being so patient and that they have been really slammed all day today. I asked her if it's like this every Sunday. She said no...it was just that the cook that was scheduled to be in for opening didn't show up so they opened an hour late or so. And so I ask....where was the owner at opening to get the food prepped? Another tell tale sign? We should have gone with our instincts and left to go try Front Range or even Famous Dave's....OR even gone to Jorge's. Well I always say it's good to try thing's once...but I don't know that I would recommend anyone going to the Firehouse Southern Style BBQ to eat. Not even someone I disliked. Ray Charles or even Stevie Wonder could've cooked better BBQ.
