Blanketed by conifer and aspen stands, this 5,121-acre wilderness park offers panoramic views and vistas of Front Range and Pike's Peak. A popular wildlife watching area, the park is home to black bear, elk, deer, eagles and hawks. Campsites have hook-ups, and there are restrooms and showers. Sites will accommodate motor homes, trailers and tents. Popular activities here include hiking, pond fishing, hunting, camping, biking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing and wildlife viewing.

I was shocked to see that you could take a shower, that's not right in my book unless its a river. The facilities are very clean at this "resort". I just don't get why people camp this way, I camp to get away from people, when I arrived I was stunned by how many people there were. Kids running all over the place people every where. They have a noise ordinence but for some reason people needed to run their generators for heat, baaah not camping, I want to hear the leaves rustling in the wind, animals playing at night, and whatever else mother nature has to offer. This "campground" didn't make me feel a bit relaxed due to the abundance of people, but hey I am all for every out of towner to camp here and enjoy Colorado, thus keeping the true camping areas a secret and litter free.
