To Violet:
Sounds like propaganda (damage control) to me. If "peggy" and her child were mistreated I'm sure they were. You just found this from a reference to it at another site and joined up for damage control.

In response to "peggy", I think that you may have your offices mixed up because Small Smiles sees pretty much only Medicaid patients and they do not see them on only certain days of the week. I know that there are offices that to practice that way but Small Smiles is not one of them. And, the Dr. you mentioned is not one of Small Smiles doctors either.
On another note. Being on Medicaid is nothing to be ashamed of. Sometimes life hands us things we can not control and we need a little help. That is what Medicaid and public assistance programs are for. I know Small Smiles has a had a bad name in the past but this is something that they are genuinely trying to correct by removing the problem employees, dentists, and so on and so forth. Parents are more then welcome to come back to see the treatment and process of how the office undergoes care of the children...
Discriminatory Dentist
by peggyschultz
This dentist office seems to be quite discriminatory. I have my son on Medicaid. I know that?s not the greatest thing for me to admit to, but being a single mother I have to put my children?s needs ahead of my pride. That aside, this particular establishment will only see my son on a specific day and only at one of their locations based on his ?brand? of insurance. This made me feel as if they just did not want to mix my ?social class? with the people who can afford regular insurance, or those who have no coverage at all. To me, that?s wrong.
I have also taken my son to this dentist office before (that?s before I knew about this) and initially the assistant who performed the cleaning was very sweet, and I feel did a great job. But Dr. Bain just seems a little ?uppity? in his demeanor, and the way he was with my child seemed a little brutish. So in all I will never take my child back to this place.
- Pros: Nice assitance
- Cons: Not a very good location, discriminatory,
